Skull & Tulips, April 14 22
I always had a fascination with skulls and I love to draw them! A few days ago the tulips bloomed and after randomly placing them by the skull, I saw how the silky pink petals and texture of the skull contrasted each other so beautifully. After waiting for the light to hit the table, I was able to capture this harmony between Life & Death. Here some pictures of Altars I have made in my space.
The Portal Project, Aries ☉
After visiting this beautiful Library in Los Angeles I was immediately inspired to create a series of photographs at this location. The doors reminded me of the portals I love to create when doing rituals, so I decided to create two symbols that would hold energy for me to enter this portal of magic. After taking a few pictures of the door at different angles, a colbat blue and a bright red came to my vision so I drew it quickly as it came on my phone and it given me this. The next step was to make the props and have fun!
I always start by making a few sketches and I try to not think too much of a specific idea but see what else can come. After a few explorations, I then decided to go back to my first idea of the simple Blue Moon & Red Sun.
